Hello Roxy: Congrats for your vacation . I recommend you visit Panajachel this place is very beatiful and there´s a lot of nightlife. Whit there are lake and volcano the views are beatiful in all Panajachel´s hotels and streets. If you dont want spend a lot of money this place is ok, because the hotels and the restaurants are very cheap. But in this time in March you need book early because is Holy week and many turists come here. This place has an amaizing nature and nightlife so is for all kind of people. Good luck
I recommend you to visit Antigua Guatemala. With are museums, stores, churches there's lots to do. It's the best place for visit, because, It's only 45 minutes from Guatemala city and It's very interesting and awsome place. There's an active nightlife in the weekend, so it's good if you want find some different. In this place you will find a lot of delicious food and the best coffee of Central America. The Guatemalan people are very friendly and welcome.
